Darren Thomas, a seasoned and well liked teacher, approachable and very much a fun but professional character. He is one of the top 10 ‘masters’ personally trained by Nick Smart the head of the International Autodefence WingTchun Organisation (ADWTO), an international operation run from the The Training Club for the past 20 years.
Darren began his journey in 1987 some 32 plus years ago, which took him across the world. A family man, with a wife and three children who have all been involved with this training. He likes nothing better than to introduce new learners into his sessions, and to try to exceed there expectations.
He has trained for tournaments here and abroad, assisted international course seminars as far as Hong Kong and China – the birth place of WingTchun. Darren’s passion is to look after all learners, to ensure goal setting and the outcomes for skill and fitness acquirement.
Phillip Marrow, an approachable and affable trainer, He as Darren are one of the top 10 ‘masters’, again personally trained by Grand Master Nick Smart the head of the International Autodefence WingTchun Organisation (ADWTO).
Phillip began his journey in 1985 some 34 years ago, Master Phil also travelled across the world, Hong Kong, China, Malta, Bulgaria are just a few of his travels. He has one young daughter who he hopes one day will follow his footsteps. Phil has had a great experience as a competitor, and retired undefeated. He likes nothing better than to coach learners and pass down his knowledge in his sessions.
He has trained and assisted many international courses along side Nick Smart, he travelled to Foshan near Canton, the birth place of WingTchun. Phillip is passionate about the art and teaching, and is available to access at the HQ.
Kevin Baines, is our pride children’s teacher, Kevin is loved and well liked by all the juniors, and has time to spend on the detail of learning. He has been in practice for over 20 years, and takes great passion with his children’s class. Kevin has children of his own, who is more than proud of, as a consequence of being a father, he has vast amounts of patience and is a very well liked teacher, he is helpful and a great organiser, a quality as we know in a children’s environment is very important. Kevin likes nothing better than to introduce new students to his ‘family style’ class.
