Fitness Boot Camp in Chorley

 

 

Boot Camps, for those who are not aware, is a set of exercises coupled together and done in group format, not dissimilar to classic circuit training developed by Messers Morgan and Anderson in 1953 at Leeds University.

In-fact, it’s a group workout training programme specifically designed to adapt the anatomy to develop in an aerobic and anaerobic manner, via a set of developmental exercises. Building strength and fitness, through the variety of exercise modules.

The activities range from cardiovascular pulse raising with warm up stretches and body weight movements to resistance type lifts, jerks, squats, flys etc. This type of fitness training has been used in the military forces for decades; a lot of trainers around today running this type of training are often ex-forces.

Outdoor and indoor fitness boot camp workouts became popular in the 1990s. And so fitness boot camps and outdoor fitness classes grew greatly in popularity.

Our Fitness Boot Camps take place at ‘The Training Club’ three times a week; we use our main hall with music to help motivation, in the summer months we periodically take it outside.

For those who are interested, we can also advise on diet, alongside taking metrics of all dimensions from weight to muscle size, so one can watch improvements happen each month. For those of you who like to take it a step further, we can help you monitor your adaptive improvements via the use of a heart rate monitor.
